Food at the Nursery

Our menu is carefully created weekly, by our chef George, and we do not have a rota system for the menus. This results in all the children who stay for lunch having the opportunity to try many different meals, regardless of if they only eat with us on one day or five days each week. All dishes are made from fresh food on a daily basis. This term, we would like to incorporate a day of children’s favourites and parent’s suggestions each week. Chef George bakes most of our bread and all of our biscuits – this term we hope to introduce mainly home made crackers.

Lunch: Spaghetti With Homemade Meatballs & Vegetables (Vegetarian Meatballs spaghetti), Watermelon
Supper: Creamy Tomato Soup served with Homemade bread, Greek Yoghurt with Honey

Snacks: Crackers, Apple and Carrot

Lunch: Vegetarian Couscous, Yoghurt
Supper: Spaghetti Bolognese, Raspberry Jelly

Snacks: Homemade Biscuits, Crackers, Pear and Cucumber
Lunch: Beef Stroganoff (Vegetable & Cheese Quiche), Homemade Meringue

Supper: Lamb Korma (Vegetarian Korma), Mixed Berries Smoothie

Snacks: Crackers, Bread and Butter with Banana

Lunch: Fish Casserole, Chocolate Brownies
Supper: Mac & Cheese, Lime Jelly

Snacks: Homemade Humus with Crackers Apples & Vegetable Sticks

Lunch: Chicken Pie, Fresh Fruit Salad
Supper: Squash & Shitake Mushroom Risotto, Fresh Pineapple
